Showing off

I am showing off today
and not just because I made such cute kids.

I also made this dress. I intended to start it about a year ago for Ruby's Easter dress LAST year. I am glad I put it off since there is no way it would have fit her at six months. I had to take off the blue ruffle (shown below in a photo taken during construction) since I am not a huge fan of long gowns on little babies and it was way too long.

Here is the pattern I used:
I sort of winged it since I had a little bit of different vision in mind than what the pattern portrayed. As with everything I handmake, don't look too close. :-)

I remember when you started to cut your fabric about a year ago before I moved. I'm happy to see the finished product! Cute. Makes me want to sew something for my girls. I need more friends around me who sew to give me a good push and inspiration.
